BMW Australia has revised the pricing for its range-topping BMW M4 CS flagship. Originally priced at $211,610 plus on-roads, the revised pricing now drops to $189,900 plus on-roads and is applicable to both new customers and those who have pre-ordered the car.
‘We have been working hard behind the scenes to deliver strong pricing for our M vehicles,’ said BMW Group Australia CEO, Marc Werner.
‘By introducing the M4 Pure local editions, we have made this core M car more accessible than ever.
‘In addition, internal and customer feedback has allowed us to re-examine the flagship M4 CS pricing. The result is a new price point of $189,900, and is available to customers who have pre-ordered a CS, as well as those planning to purchase in the future.
“This new M pricing structure is a sensational early Christmas present for BMW M customers,” Werner said.
The M4 CS shares the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six engines as the rest of the M4 range. However, changes in the engine’s electronic management system provide a 7kW boost in power over the M4 Competition, with 338kW available at 6,250rpm. Peak torque has also increased by 50Nm to 600Nm, a match for the legendary M4 GTS and available from 4,000 to 5,380rpm.
Equipped with the M Driver’s Package as standard, the BMW M4 CS is electronically-limited to 280km/h. Zero to 100km/h acceleration is achieved in only 3.9 seconds while combined fuel consumption is listed at 8.4L/100km.
Model | Engine | Power / Torque | 0-100km/h | Fuel Use | CO2 |
BMW M4 Pure | 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol | 331kW/550Nm | 4.0sec | 8.8L/100km | 204g/km |
BMW M4 Competition | 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol | 331kW/550Nm | 4.0sec | 8.8L/100km | 204g/km |

The M4 CS rolls on forged 10-spoke light alloy wheels in Orbit Grey measuring 9 x 19 inch at the front and 10 x 20 inch at the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres that measure 265/35R19 up-front and 285/30R20 at the rear.
