BMW M6 Gran Coupé Official Teaser Images Released

BMW has released official teaser photos of its upcoming M6 Gran Coupé. The four-door tourer will share the same high revving 560 horsepower (417kW) twin-turbo V8 found in the M5 and M6. A high torque 7-speed M-Double Clutch transmission (M-DCT) sends power to the rear wheels.

Due to hit showrooms worldwide in mid 2013, the BMW M6 Gran Coupé will replace the M5 as the flagship model in the M family. As shown in the teaser images, the M6 Gran Coupé exhibits the typical M cues with extended wheel fenders, larger air intakes in the front bumper, rear diffuser and the trademark quad exhaust tips.

The M6 Gran Coupé’s performance is expected to be almost similar to the M5 with a 0-100 km/h time of expected to be around 4.3 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 305 km/h.

BMW promised more information of the M6 Gran Coupé in December with a world debut expected at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show in January next year.
