Audi S1 quattro first official photos

These are the first official photos of the Audi S1 quattro, the company’s first ever S1. Looking rather sharp with purposeful quad pipes at the back and a significant roof mounted spoiler, you may also notice the slightly revised front and rear lights. That’s because the S1 previews the facelift for the A1 range.

Wearing an aerodynamic kit that includes a beefier front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper with integrated diffusers, the S1 also get sharper LED headlights with red accents. Inside, it gets a sports flat-bottom steering wheel and red and yellow highlights.

We still do not have specifics about the car’s powerplant as yet but expect full details to be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The S1 is likely to utilise a version the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine found underneath the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Audi A5 producing around 164kW to 172kW of power.

It is expected to be married to a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch available as an option. Drive is sent to all four wheels that should see the little hot hatch dash from 0-100km/h in around 6.0 seconds.

Stay tuned for updates.
