The 2018 BMW 1 Series hatch has been updated with a refreshed interior and more technology, along with three new special editions – Edition Sport Line Shadow, Edition M Sport Shadow and M140i Edition Shadow – all with black headlight surrounds, black grille frame and tinted lights.
While the exterior makeover is limited the restyled front and rear bumpers, head and taillights and five fresh rim designs, the car’s interior receives the bulk of the makeover budget.
Owners will find a revised centre stack, restyled air vents, updated centre console with a roll cover for the cup holders, additional chrome trim and new high-gloss black accents. There are also new trim and upholstery options.
In terms of technology, there’s an updated iDrive system with an 8.8-inch touchscreen when the Navigation Professional option is selected. Owners can also order a WiFi hotspot which supports up to ten devices.

A 120i with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder developing 135kW and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque
A 125i with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder developing 165kW and 310 Nm (228 lb-ft) of torque
An M140i with a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder developing 250kW and 500 Nm (368 lb-ft) of torque
A 116d with a 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder developing 85kW and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque
A 118d with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder developing 110kW and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque
A 120d with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder developing 140kW and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque

Two new colours have also been introduced – Seaside Blue and Sunset Orange.
