Volkswagen Golf GTI tuned by BBM Motorsport with 271horsepower

Even though the Volkswagen Mk6 Golf GTI is nearing the end of its product life cycle, with a new model due next year, it remains a favourite with tuners.

This ‘bad boy’ GTI comes from German tuner, BBM Motorsport in collaboration with other aftermarket brands.

The first thing they did was to reflash the ECU and add a custom exhaust system. The result is an extra 63hp (47kW) and 100Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque from the GTI’s brilliant 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine. Total output now stands at 271hp (201kW) and 380Nm (lb-ft).

A new four piston brake system, with red painted calipers comes courtesy of StopTech. The standard suspension has also been replaced with tauter suspension parts from KW, while the car rolls on new 20-inch deep-dish alloy wheels wrapped in sticky 235/30R20 tyres.

On the aesthetic side, CFC-Styling station covered the car in a matte blue foil wrap whilst the bonnet, Golf R-style rear diffuser and mirror caps are made of carbon fibre.
