Nissan Nismo GT-R RC Race Car

Fancy a fully race-prep R35 Nissan GT-R solely for the tracks? Good news because Nissan’s motorsports and performance division, Nismo, will build you one if you hand them 20,790,000 yen or around $250k USD. What you get is a fully track ready R35 Nissan GT-R complete with roll-cage, fire extinguisher, bucket seat and a no-nonsense race car cockpit.

Called the Nissan Nismo GT-R RC, it uses the same VR38DETT engine and GR6 transmission that is found in the road car, albeit with a retune to give more power. The suspension and braking system have also been replaced with Nismo go fast bits.

The NISSAN NISMO GT-R RC is the latest entry to the RC (Racing Competition) line of high performance, production model race cars developed and outfitted by NISMO. It’s built up from the world renowned, top performance NISSAN GT-R (R35) road car. The body has been lightened, fitted for slick tires and equipped with safety equipment to ready it for competition use. During the car’s development, it was entered in the 2010 SUPER TAIKYU Round 4 at Fuji, where it confirmed its high performance, reliability and durability“, said Nismo’s press release
