Lexus has previewed the all-new fifth generation LS flagship saloon through a single teaser image ahead of its world debut at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month.
The shadowy teaser image shows a translucent front quarter view of the S-Class and 7 Series beater, offering a glimpse of not just the radical front fascia but also the new drivetrain underneath.
Based on the striking LF-FC concept (below), the next-gen LS production model is said to feature “visionary technology” and will be built on an extended version of Lexus’s new global architecture for luxury vehicles (GA-L) rear-wheel drive platform shared with the forthcoming LC flagship coupe
Lexus unveiled the original LS 400 at the same event in Detroit in 1989. Twenty-eight years later, the all-new LS saloon promises a bold new look with a coupe-like silhouette without compromising interior spaciousness.
All will be unwrapped next January.
