Suzuki Australia is banking on the extensively updated S-Cross crossover for growth in the fast-growing compact SUV segment. Promising great value and a focus on lifestyle and adventure, the S-Cross range now includes the Turbo and Turbo Prestige models.

The raft of changes begin under the bonnet with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a new 103kW/220Nm 1.4-litre Boosterjet Turbo engine offering improved performance and driveability across the range. Combined with substantial structural weight savings, the fuel economy figure now rates at just 5.9L/100km.

The facelift also introduces a built-in multimedia satellite navigation system with Apple CarPlay, 7-inch multi-touch colour display and reversing camera.

The exterior presents more distinct and premium front end styling thanks to a bold new grille, whilst the revised design of the interior delivers 430-litres of cargo space, one of the largest capacities in the category.

The S-Cross Turbo Prestige variant is further complimented with 17” polished alloy wheels, leather interior, automatic LED headlights, rear parking sensor and more.

Suzuki Australia General Manager, Andrew Moore stated: “In the small SUV category, we know customers are refined and expect the highest level of features.  Accordingly, just like we did with Vitara, we’ve included all the key features standard in S-Cross, like Sat Nav, Apple CarPlay®, Keyless Start, Privacy Glass and more”.

“With Vitara, S-Cross Turbo and the new IGNIS Light SUV landing next year, Suzuki will have the biggest array of options for any customer looking to move into a small SUV – whether it be owners of light or small hatches, or empty nesters looking to downsize into a smaller but spacious SUV, Suzuki will have the best small SUV range to test drive”, Moore continued.

Pricing for the S-Cross starts at $28,990 drive away for the Turbo, and $30,990 drive away for the Turbo Prestige.
