Lexus LF-LC Concept Leaked Ahead of North American Motor Show Debut!

Lexus wasn’t going to reveal the LF-Lc concept so soon but thanks to the crew at Road & Track in the U.S. who leaked the images, we got our first glimpse of the Detroit bound concept car from Lexus.

Lexus has since released its first official photo of the sleek, low slung 2+2 sports car, as there is no point in hiding it under the shroud anymore.

However, what still remains a mystery is the technical details of the car, except that the design was “crafted from a clean sheet of paper,” and that “the LF-Lc blends both high technology and organic shapes to connect the driver to the machine.”

Lexus has been using the LF prefix for all its concept cars since 2003, and the latest sports concept is no different. From past experience though, the second part of the name usually suggests where the car sits in Lexus’ hierarchy. The ‘L’ in the Lc would suggest that it is related to the LS family. We speculate that it might be Lexus’ answer to the Mercedes-Benz SL and BMW 6 Series, and a replacement for the unloved SC430 Coupe.

Stay tuned for more when the concept is officially revealed at next month’s North American Motor Show in Detroit.
