Insane 625kW Volkswagen Mk6 Golf R devours supercar for lunch!

Behold the Volkswagen Golf with more power than a Lamborghini Aventador S! Caught at the Race 1000 event in Germany recently, the heavily tuned Mk6 Golf R is said to pack 625kW, 81kW more than the fearsome Aventador S.

To produce the monstrous punch, the humble hatchback has reportedly swapped its stock 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6, along with beefier brakes and a tuned suspension.

While it is not clear whether the V6 engine itself has received a further tune to produce the massive output, we suspect it might.

Thanks to the thumping new heart, the tuned Golf R stopped the clock on a half-mile run in an incredible 17 seconds before topping out at 255km/h.

Besides a new engine, suspension and brakes, the Golf R’s owner has also installed a pair of buckets seats and roll cage inside the car.

Hit play to watch the “super” Golf in action.
