Ferrari is reportedly working on a new entry-level model that will slot below the Ferrari California T.

According to a report by Motor Trend in the US, a well-placed source within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said the Italian company is developing the new model to compete against the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo, Mercedes-AMG GT and the new McLaren 570S.

Not much detail is available at the moment but the entry-level model is said to feature a twin-turbo V6 and will hit the market in 2019.

In Australia, the Ferrari California T is priced from $409,880, while the Porsche 911 Turbo goes for $366,500. If the report is true, expect the new Ferrari to be priced in the region of $380,000.
