Skoka teases 2013 Octovia

Czech manufacturer, Skoda, has teased us with a few more photos of one of their most important models, the 2013 Skoda Octavia, before its official debut in the coming days.

The new pictures give us a glimpse of the car’s rear combination lights and the rear window and C-pillar treatment. We can also expect the new car to sport a new front grille with piano black vertical bars, while the door mirrors seems to look like those on the current MkVI Golf.

Skoda has also lifted the veil slightly on the car’s interior, where we can see the steering wheel with its voice command buttons, the centre console complete with a large screen for the infotainment system, and the climate control module lifted straight out of the Volkswagen parts bin.

Skoda has promised the new car will have higher quality and a better equipped interior as they move the new Octavia more upmarket, due to the introduction of the more affordable Rapid beneath it.

The Octavia is built on the same MQB platform as the Volkswagen Golf MkVII and Audi A3. It will also share some of the German cars’ petrol and diesel engines.
