Shelby has announced it will be building a limited run of the iconic Shelby Cobra 427 to mark its 50th anniversary.
From 13 January 2015, interested customers will be able to put down their order for one of only 50 examples of the 427, all adorned with gold anniversary badges. As with most limited run vehicles, the cars will also come with a special CSX serial number – CSX4550 – CSX4599 – as well as a badge identifying their number in this limited production run.
Customers can order their special Cobra either with an aluminium or fiberglass body. Aluminium-bodied cars will be finished in either polished aluminium (with or without stripes) or Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon white stripes, while the latter will come exclusively in Guardsman blue with white stripes.
The Cobra 427 50th Anniversary is priced from US$117,995 for the fiberglass edition, and US$179,995 for the aluminium edition – without engine and transmission.
