Renault Megane Grand Coupe unveiled

Renault is extending its C-segment line-up with the arrival of the all-new Megane Grand Coupe. The four-door sports sedan is the latest addition to the Megane range after the introduction of the new Megane in 2015 and new Megane Estate earlier this year.

Part of the renewal of the Renault range, the Megane Grand Coupe boasts dynamic and upmarket styling with sculpted surfaces, well-balanced proportions, a Renault-family front end, and a distinctive C-shaped front light signature. The glass roof linking the windscreen to the rear window lends an elegant and esthetic two-tone look.

Rivalling the Mazda 3 and Honda Civic, the stylish Megane Grand Coupe is said to feature top-level rear-seat spaciousness and a capacious boot, despite its sporty silhouette.

Built on the company’s new CMF (Common Module Family) architecture, the Grand Coupe promises the same driving pleasure and generous features as the rest of the Megane family, including a 7-inch color digital instrumentation panel, an 8.7-inch I-surface multimedia infotainment touchscreen, R-LINK 2 mobile connectivity, MULTI-SENSE driving modes, a color head-up display, Easy Park Assist and an extensive line-up of additional comfort equipment and driving aids.

Depending on the country, the engine range comprises two turbocharged petrol engines:

Three turbo diesel engines are available, also depending on the country:

The 2017 Renault Megane Grand Coupe has been confirmed for the Australian market and will go on sale in early 2017. Full specification and pricing will be announced closer to local launch.
