Lexus has introduced the revitalized 2014 Lexus CT 200h with a simplified model line-up to bring it in line with other model range. Gone is the previous model Prestige variant, with Luxury, F Sport and Sports Luxury remaining.
The good news is, there is no price rise across the line-up, with the Luxury variant kicking off at $39,990 plus on-roads.
All models also benefit from greater standard specification, including a reverse camera, Lexus display audio with 10 speakers (instead of six), rotary-style Lexus Remote Touch controller and rain-sensing wipers.
The new model now sports Lexus’s spindle grille that has proliferated throughout the company’s range. There are also smarter 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels, slimline navigation or display screen, new shift lever and IS-style steering wheel.
Higher range models also receive Lexus connected mobility solution Enform, LED fog lamps and Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Pre-Collision Safety System (PCS).
The F sport is priced from $48,990, is $2,000 cheaper than the outgoing model. It gains a unique black roof, larger roof mounted spoiler and Enform as standard. Options, or Enhancement Packs as Lexus calls them, include a moonroof, parking sonar, Mark Levinson audio, PCS, ACC and smart car key.
Topping the CT line-up is the Sports Luxury model priced from $56,990, a saving of $1,000 over the previous model.
It adds LED headlamps and fog lamps, new Shimamoku trim and privacy glass as standard.
All variants carry over the same hybrid powertrain as the previous model, consisting of a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with electric motors for a combined output of 100kW. It consumes 4.1L/100km of unleaded petrol.
