Mitsubishi Triton gets added off-road capability for 2020

Mitsubishi has revamped the specification for its Triton ute, with the 2020 mid-range models gaining more off-road capability and improved comfort.

Previously reserved for the top-spec GLS Premium, a rear diff lock is now also available on GLX+ and GLS models. The GLX+ model is equipped with Easy-Select 4WD allowing easy switching between 2WD and 4WD modes and offers 2H, 4H and 4L transfer case settings.

The upper spec GLS and GLS Premium models are equipped with Super-Select 4WD-II which offers 2H (rear-wheel drive), 4H (full-time 4WD), 4HLc (lock up) and 4LLc (lock up in low gear) modes to deliver optimum traction and handling characteristics for all surfaces.

All Triton 4WD models with 18-inch wheels have a ground clearance of 220 mm. Performance over poor surfaces is helped by improved approach angle of up to 31°, departure angle of 23° and ramp break over angle of 25°.

In terms of cabin comfort and features, the GLX+ gains an air circulator, while the GLS gets keyless entry and start.
