Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé pricing and specification announced

Mercedes-Benz has announced the pricing and specification of the all-new GLC Coupé SUV, ahead of its showroom debut in November.

Australians will be offered three variants at launch – the GLC 220d Coupé, GLC 250 Coupé and GLC 250d Coupé. All models arrive with Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission as standard.

The entry-level GLC 220d is powered by a four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, which produces up to 125 kW and 400 Nm of torque. All variants are appointed with AMG Line Bodystyling, 20” AMG Multi-spoke wheels, a Diamond grille Dynamic Body Control sports suspension, an Easy-Pack power tailgate, Garmin Map Pilot navigation, a 360 degree camera, LED Intelligent Light System and Black-Ash open pore wood trim as standard.

The GLC 250 and GLC 250d gain a number of additional luxury appointments, including leather upholstery, keyless-go and Driver Assistance Package Plus.

The GLC 250 gets its power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine delivery 155kW and 350Nm of torque, while the GLC 250d uses a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel with 150kW and 500Nm of torque.

The Coupé measures 4,73m in length, 1.60m in height and has a 2.87m wheelbase, making it almost 8cm longer and some 4cm lower than the regular GLC.

Its luggage capacity ranges from 500 to 1,400 litres, while shoulder room, elbow room and legroom are all identical to the GLC.

All variants will also arrive with 9 airbags, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, Blind Spot Assist, Pre-Safe, Attention Assist and an Active Bonnet.
