Mazda’s New Design Concept: Shinari

Looks familiar? A hint of Jag? Or perhaps the BMW CS Concept? This is the new Mazda concept car that was rolled out to outline Mazda’s future design language. A collaborative effort from design  studios in Germany, Japan  and the US.

This new design philosophy is called  Kodo. In Japanese speak, it means form  with soul. Despite looking like a combination of design concepts from a few other car manufacturers, it does work out pretty well. Smooth flowing lines with all the crisps and edges at the  right places, this new design concept  looks far better than the Furai concept that Mazda showed us few years ago.

It will be interesting to know how future Mazda models derived from this concept will look like.
