Maserati Alfieri to hit production, along with Levante crossover

Maserati rolled out the Alfieri concept coupe at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show in March to commemorate its centenary.

Unlike most concepts, the Alfieri is a 100 per cent functional prototype that doesn’t take much to convert into a production model.

Now, Maserati has confirmed the Alfieri will hit production and will be offered as a coupe and convertible, with rear and all-wheel drive setup. It will be powered by a V6 engine in three different states of tune – 301kW (410PS), 331kW (450PS) and 382kW (520PS).

Along with the new Alfieri, Maserati will also be launching the Levante crossover, which was previewed by the Kubang concept (above). The production model will be equipped with all-wheel drive and a range of engines, including:

A new GranTurismo model, to sit above the Alfieri, will also be introduced. It will have rear-wheel drive and a V8 engine that develops 412 + kW (560 + PS).

As for the timing for the new models’ introduction, the Levante will come first, followed by the Alfieri and new GranTurismo.
