Jaguar F-Pace caught – due 2016

Earlier in January, Jaguar announced that the brand’s first ever SUV will be called the F-Pace. It’s not due to hit showrooms until early 2016, but the next phase of its development sees the roll out of a prototype for real world testing.

Caught testing in public roads with heavy camouflage, the Jaguar F-Pace prototype has stayed true to the C-X17 concept’s proportions and design, which is welcoming. Expect the production model to inherit typical Jaguar styling cues such as a large upright grill flanked by a pair of sculpted headlights, and taillights that resemble those found on the F-Type Coupe.

According to Jaguar’s Global Sales Director, Andy Goss, the F-Pace will be the ultimate practical sports car, sharing its lightweight platform with the Jaguar XE sedan. While no details have been released on the car’s powerplants, it will likely share the XE’s engine lineup as well.
