Infiniti reveals Q30 interior

Infiniti has hyped up anticipation to the world premiere of its Q30 compact hatch at this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show with the release of the first official shot of the Q30’s interior.

Accompanying the interior photo is a previously-surfaced front quarter angle view of the brand’s first ever active compact. Designed to take on the Mercedes-Benz A Class, BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, Audi A3 and Lexus CT 200h, the Infiniti Q30 boasts a uniquely expressive exterior with no shortage of curves and creases.

The expressive forms continue onto the interior of the Q30, where Infiniti interior designers have said to employ the highest quality materials and processes to create a premium modern ambiance.

One tactile detail is the Dinamica suedelike material from Italy. Used increasingly in the high-fashion industry, it now lines the roof and support pillars of the Q30 cabin.

Matching the Q30’s dynamism, driver and passenger seating have been constructed for enhanced comfort and support with an elevated hip-point.

“Q30’s sculpted exterior and asymmetric cabin design are unmistakably Infiniti,” says President of Infiniti, Roland Krueger. “With the Q30, we are entering a new segment for Infiniti and broadening the offer to our customers. This vehicle is a vital part of our strategy to be a top tier global manufacturer of premium cars.”

The Infiniti Q30, which goes on sale globally in 2016, will be built in the Japanese premium marque’s Sunderland factory in the UK which then becomes the fourth country on three continents to build Infiniti vehicles.
