First ever BMW M235i Convertible launched from $85,800

The first ever BMW M Performance convertible has launched in Australia. Priced from $85,800 plus on-road costs, the flagship BMW M235i Convertible brings open top motoring to the performance oriented model for the first time.

Powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight six engine delivering 240kW and 450Nm of torque and match exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the M235i will dash from 0-100km/h in just 5.0 seconds (0.2 seconds slower than the coupe).

The BMW M235i Convertible merges the model range’s distinctive ‘boat deck’ character and sweeping lines, with the athletic proportions and aerodynamically optimized M Performance body.

Equipped with Adaptive M Suspension as standard, the all-new BMW M235i Convertible is also armed with four-piston aluminium fixed calliper and two-piston rear calliper M Sport brakes.

Variable sport steering with Servotronic speed assistance is joined by 18-inch light alloy wheels, Rear View Camera, front and rear Park Distance Control, Bi-Xenon headlights, BMW ConnectedDrive, heated seats for driver and front passenger, leather upholstery, HiFi loudspeaker system and Professional Navigation among inclusions in base form.

The BMW M235i Convertible features a fully automatic electric folding soft-top roof which can be opened or closed at speeds up to 50km/h. BMW says the rag top gets an additional insulation that cuts interior noise by 5db(A) in the front seats and 7 db(A) in the rear.
