Evasive Motorsports Scion FR-S gets first taste of Pikes Peak

This year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb championship sees Evasive Motorsports’ Scion FR-S (Toyota 86) participation for the first time. The grueling race up to the 4300 metres (14,110 feet) high summit in Colorado Springs means both the driver, Robert Walker, and the machine will be tested to their limits.

Fully rebuilt by Evasive Motorsports, the FR-S is outfitted with a custom wide aerodynamic body kit complete with front lip spoiler with splitter, side steps, rear diffuser, new bonnet, Craftsquare GT mirrors and a Voltex Type 7 GT wing. All body panels are made entirely from carbon fibre.

The racer rolls on a set of 18-inch Volk Racing TE37SL lightweight forged wheels.

Inside is a fully stripped out interior equipped with a custom race spec roll cage, Sparco Pro-ADV bucket racing seats and Sparco 6-point harnesses.

Other big hitters at the 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb race include the Lexus IS F CCS-R driven by Kenshiro “Ken” Gushi and Rhys Millen’s Hyundai Genesis.
