Bugatti Veyron vs LaFerrari in epic drag race [video]

This is one epic drag race that every petrol head can’t miss: the battle of the hypercars – specifically, the legendary Bugatti Veyron going against the Ferrari LaFerrari.

These super expensive and ultra-rare toys are rarely let out of their owner’s multi-car garage but the planets must have been aligned recently as the hypercars were let out to play with each other.

If it were down to pure muscle, the Bugatti would snatch the trophy without so much as breaking a sweat, as its humongous 8.0-litre quad-turbo 16-cylinder engine pumps out 1,001PS (736kW) of power and a colossal 1,250Nm of torque. The Ferrari, on the other hand, churns out “only” 963PS (708kW) of power and 900Nm of torque.

If that’s not enough, the Veyron puts its power on via an all-wheel drive system, while the LaFerrari is rear-wheel drive only.

However, there’s a big problem. The Veyron tips the scale at a porky 1,888kg, while the LaFerrari weighs a “supermodel-like” 1,255kg.
