The BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe will arrive in June 2014 with its first global appearance expected at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The announcement came as new spy images of the 4-Series Gran Coupe emerge.
The 4 door version of the 4-Series coupe is aimed at the Audi A5 Sportback. The line up will include the 420i, 420d, 428i and 435i, with the 420d and 428i also available in all-wheel drive form.
Like its larger sibling, the 6-Series Gran Coupe, the 4-Series Gran Coupe features a stretched body to incorporate 2 extra rear doors and rear windows, while retaining the low-slung roof line and elongated design of the coupe. The longer wheelbase offers more interior room for passengers.
The 4-Series Gran Coupe will be built in BMW’s Dingolfing plant in Germany, where the 6-Series Gran Coupe is also being built.
A BMW M4 Gran Coupe is also expected to join the range in 2015.
