Bentley Bentayga caught testing in South Africa

A Bentley Bentayga prototype has been caught testing near Cape Town in South Africa.

Touted as a sector defining SUV that combines modern British luxury with impressive on and off road performance by Bentley, the prototype was reported one of three undergoing testing.

As you can see from the photos, Bentley isn’t giving anything away yet, with the test vehicle covered in camouflage. However, what we can see is a pair of exhaust pipes protruding out of both sides of the, suggesting it’s likely a V12 version.

It will be Bentley’s first ever SUV and has been confirmed to hit the market in 2016. Besides the V12 version, a plug-in hybrid variant will follow in 2017. The Bentayga shares its MLB Evo platform with recently unveiled Audi Q7.
