Audi Q3 gets front-drive entry-level 1.4 TFSI

Audi has introduced a new entry-level Q3 to its Australian line up. The 1.4 TFSI Q3 with a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission as standard is priced from $42,300 RRP.

The 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 110kW from 5,000-6,000rpm and 250Nm of torque from 1,750-3,000rpm, enough to propel the front drive Q3 from 0-100km/h in 8.9 seconds.

Audi claims the Q3 is the most fuel-efficient premium compact SUV with a petrol engine, delivering just 6.2L/100km while emitting 145g/km of CO2.

“This new entry model makes the highly successful Audi Q3 model even more attainable for discerning customers,” said Audi Australia’s Managing Director, Andrew Doyle.

“The Audi Q3’s unique combination of sporty performance, sophisticated design and everyday versatility explains why this model has led its segment since it launched in early 2012.

“The high-value package structure allows customers to option the additional features that best suit their needs, and this concept is extended to the new model. Customisation is important part of the Audi brand experience,” said Mr Doyle.

The 1.4 TFSI Q3 shares its specification as the 103kW 2.0 TDI quattro Q3, which includes:
