Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti slots beneath Quadrifoglio from sub-$80k

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio line-up has welcomed a new addition in the form of the Stelvio Ti. Sitting atop the regular Stelvio model lineup and slotting just below the flagship Stelvio Quadrifoglio, the Ti brings a more powerful 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and added standard features.

Delivering 206kW of power and a peak torque of 400Nm from just 1,750rpm, the high output 2.0L turbo four propels the mid-size SUV from zero to 100km/h in 5.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 230km/h.

The Stelvio Ti is fitted as standard with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) by renowned suspension specialists KONI. A hydraulic damping solution, road inputs allow the shock absorber to change the level of damping via a frequency sensitive valve incorporated into the damper unit, improving dynamic handling and ride comfort.

Also available as an option for the Stelvio Ti is Alfa Active Suspension (AAS) variable damping system.

A key differentiator for the Stelvio is the rear wheel drive biased power delivery. This system is further enhanced in the Stelvio Ti through the addition of a mechanical limited slip differential (LSD) for the rear driveline.

The Like the rest of the line-up, the Stelvio Ti is five-star ANCAP rated and comes equipped with a full-suite of safety features including autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear-view camera, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-path detection. It does, however, add Adaptive Cruise Control – Plus with Full Stop.

Smart phone mirroring in the form of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is also standard, so is a 400 Watt, 10 Speaker Sound System. For audiophiles, an optional Harman/Kardon 900 Watt 14 Speaker premium sound system is available.

This premium audio option is paired with ambient interior lighting, with 12 individual LED spots designed to take the Stelvio interior ambience to the next level.
