Subaru is elevating the specification list across its entire new generation Outback range, which goes on sale in Australia from March 2021.
The simplified three-variant 2021 Subaru Outback range will start with the considerably “up-specced” Outback All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant that adds an array of new features.

- New 11.6″ infotainment system – centralising and simplifying many controls, with vertical orientation it allows intuitive operation similar to a smartphone or tablet

- Autonomous Emergency Steering
- Emergency Lane Keep Assist
- Speed Sign Recognition with Intelligent Speed Limiter

- Passenger seat cushion airbag
- In the event of a frontal collision, this airbag is designed to push up the front section of the seat, helping to prevent forward movement of the waist. This can prevent the body from sinking below the seatbelt and improve the restraint protection performance, helping to reduce chest injuries.
- Suppressing the front passenger’s leg movement minimises contact with the instrument panel and can reduce leg injuries.
- Driver Monitoring System – Driver Focus – helping monitor and ensure attentiveness behind the wheel
The 2021 Subaru Outback AWD is priced from $39,990 excluding on-road costs.
The new mid-range Outback AWD Sport adds multiple features to Outback AWD specification, including:

The range-topping Outback AWD Touring builds further on Outback AWD Sport specification, including:
