2017 Mazda CX-9 spotted practically undisguised [video]

The upcoming 2017 Mazda CX-9 has been spotted practically undisguised by YouTube user, Carspotter Jeroen.

The barely camouflaged prototype was spied undergoing testing in California where its prominent front grille flanked by a pair of swept back headlights similar to the rest of Mazda’s SUV range was revealed for all to see.

In silhouette, the large SUV appears to be slightly longer than the current car with muscular wheelarches and a sloping roof. At the back, the taillights appear to have a similar design to the CX-5, but that could be due to the camouflage.

While the current model features a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, the new model will reportedly get a 2.5-litre SkyActiv turbocharged four-cylinder shared with upcoming high performance MPS variants.
