2014 Porsche Panamera S and E-Hybrid leaked

The 2014 Porsche Panamera has been leaked onto the web. The mild mid-life update brings a slightly revised front bumper with new headlights, and a restyled rear bumper and taillights.

However, changes under the skin are more significant. A new Panamera S E-Hybrid model offers plug-in hybrid technology that promises 3.1L/100km (75 mpg US), and zero emission cruising of up to 35km at speeds up to 134km/h.

The E-Hybrid system also boosts the power output from the 3.0-litre V6 engine. The total system output is 306kW (410hp) from the combined 3.0-litre V6 engine and electric motor which is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. That’s 22kW (30hp) up on the current Panamera S Hybrid.

Porsche claims the Panamera S E-Hybrid will sprint from 0-60mph (97km/h) in 5.5 seconds, 0.2 seconds quicker than the current model, and an unchanged top speed of 269km/h (167mph).

A new twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol unit making 308kW is also set to replace the naturally aspirated 295kW 4.8-litre V8 in the Panamera S.

We will update this post once Porsche releases full details.
