Alfa Romeo has announced that the stunning new 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C will launch in Australia from just $75,000 in the second quarter of next year.
The announcement was made at the car’s international unveiling in Italy last night. Alfa’s representatives said Australians can expect a price of between $80,000 and $100,000 for the base car, and $100,000 t0 120,000 for the exclusive Launch Edition.
Alfa’s Product Manager, Gugliemo Caviasso, also hinted that more powerful versions of the 4C could also be expected further down the line. The Alfa Romeo 4C is powered by a 1.75-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder direct injected engine that generates 177kW of power and 350Nm of torque.
It is paired with Alfa’s latest-generation “Alfa TCT” dry twin-clutch automatic transmission that will propel the 895kg rear drive sports car from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds, and on to a top speed of 258km/h.
