Volkswagen up! bagged with Porsche bits

Bagging is big business in the tuning scene, especially in tuning-crazy Japan, and increasing, the Middle East. Although not really my cup of tea, enthusiasts bag everything from the smallest kei cars to a Lexus LS limousine.

For those who are uninitiated, bagging involves swapping the car’s stock suspensions with airbag suspensions that lowers and raises the car at the push of a button. When we said ‘lowers’, we REALLY mean lower.

What more unusual is the owner’s choice of car – a Volkswagen up!. Not only has he bagged the little city car, he also fitted the fitted Porsche part to it, the steering wheel, which is colour-coded in turquoise to match the rest of the leather interior.

Check out the video below of a gathering of ‘bagged’ Volkswagens, from the up! to the Golf GTI and Jetta.
