TVM Car Design Tunes BMW 1-Series M Coupe

The BMW 1-Series M Coupe is already a convincing performer in factory form. But for those craving for more performance, now there is an even more powerful version. German tuner TVM Car Design is now offering a complete tuning package for the smallest model in the M staple.

The TVM Car Design 1-Series M Coupe power output peaks at 420 horsepower at 5,900 rpm. Peak torque of 620 Nm is available  at just 1,500 rpm and will continue all the way to 4,500 rpm. Top speed without the limited is claimed to be 306 km/h. The leap in performance comes from a larger intercooler, redesigned air intake system and new exhaust system. A new software for the ECU ensures that the full potential of the new hardware is realized.

To cope with the increase in power, TVM employs a set of KW coilover suspension with adjustable compression and rebound specifically developed and tuned for the 1-Series M Coupe. The new suspension promises to improve handling while ensuring ride comfort is not compromised. A set of 20-inch light weight wheels wrapped in Continental Sport Contact 5P tires measuring 245 mm for the front and 295 mm for the rear provides the extra traction needed.

TVM is pleased with the already aggressive exterior of the 1-Series M Coupe and thus the exterior has been left mostly untouched apart from a subtle rear spoiler and the black painted roof. Inside, updates include a leather covered bucket seats and a new steering wheel with LED shift indicators provided by BMW Performance.

The total package costs 5,000 €.
