RENNtech C74 Konzept Based On Mercedes C63 AMG

The standard C63 AMG is no doubt one of the most engaging drives of its class. If that is not mean enough, RENNtech’s latest baddie might be what you are looking for.

To start with, the tuner has added a body kit comprised of an aggressive carbon fibre front lip, spoiler and rear diffuser, along with 19- and 20-inch wheels. Under the bonnet, the standard 6.0-litre AMG hauler has been boosted to produce 445kW and 555 pound feet of torque courtesy of larger throttle bodies, upgraded internals, and a tweaked ECU, while carbon fibre stabiliser braces are fitted front and rear.

And no, they haven’t increased the engine size to 7.4-litre, that’s the width of the rear track, where 11-inch, 305-series tires live.

No words of this coming to Australia, as usual but if you were in the US, it will cost you US$11,950.

As the worlds foremost Mercedes-Benz/AMG tuner, RENNtech unveiled their latest project vehicle at the 2010 Festival’s of Speed in Orlando, Florida. All performance modifications and exterior aerodynamic modifications were designed, developed, and tested in house at RENNtech’s facility located in Lake Park, Florida.

The C74 is the latest variation of RENNtech’s C63 AMG project vehicle which has seen continual transformations throughout its life, serving as a working test platform for RENNtech’s proprietary line of performance products. The C74’s current trim boasts incredible performance from the 6.2L AMG V-8 with a wide stance and aggressive look to match. The “74” designation given by RENNtech, refers to the 74 inch width of the rear wheel track which lies beneath the body work of the C74’s muscular rear end. This allows the ability to run up to an 11″ wide rear wheel with a 315 series rear tire for the ultimate in handling and traction. The number also pays homage to the legendary RENNtech V12 “SL 74”.
