Aftermarket tuning powerhouse Alpha-N Performance have got their hands on the Mercedes-AMG GT R just three months after its launch. And they did wonderful things to it.

The tuner has released a two-stage “EVOX”engine performance upgrade that lifts the power and torque output of the bi-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine to as much as 488kW and 790Nm, up from the standard 430kWand 700Nm. In the lower tune version, the AMG GT R makes 473kW and 770Nm.

The GT3-inspired look of the AMG GT R is retained, albeit for a set of OZ Ultraleggera HLT lightweight racing wheels measuring 8.5×20 at the front and 11×20 at the back.

Pricing for the upgrade kit starts from 1,999 Euros for stage 1 tune and 1,799 Euros for stage 2.
