MEC Design Tweaks Mercedes C63 AMG

The Mercedes C63 AMG has always been one of our favourite sport sedans. We particularly adore the roar of  the C63 AMG’s V8 engine. However, we always think that there is still some more power to be squeezed from that big V8.

German tuner MEC Design has just done that. They gave the 6.2 Litre V8 a little ECU tweak, drop in a performance air filter and put in a new sports exhaust with high flowing catalytic converters. The result is an extra 143 horsepower bringing the total power output to 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.

The exterior also received a minor enhancement with a new front lip spoiler, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Gone is the chrome front grill, now in matte black to further add to the aggression. On the inside, carbon fibre inserts can be found in the steering wheel, centre console, door panels and seat covers. Finishing off the package is a set of 20 inch wheels wrapped in 235/30 ZR 20 tyres.
