Hartge rolls out BMW M5 tuning package

Hartge recently released a new tuning package for the F10 BMW M5 which includes both performance upgrades and aesthetic enhancement.

The BMW M5 retains the same 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 powerplant under the bonnet but has been tweaked to extract another 60kW out of it, boosting power from the standard 412kW/680Nm to 472kW/810Nm. The extra power comes from a remapped ECU and a new custom exhaust system. A 7-speed twin clutch transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

The Hartge BMW M5 takes only just 4.2 seconds to complete the century sprint while reaching a top speed of 305km/h.

The subtle exterior treatment includes a new front lip spoiler, carbon fibre mirror covers and Hartge decals. The car rides on new 20-inch wheels for the front and 21-inch for the rear. High performance Continental SC-5 tyres measuring 265/30 ZR 20 for the front and 295/25 ZR 20 for the rear provide the final contact with the tarmac.

Hartge sport springs were also installed to improve handling and lower the M5 by 25mm at the front and 20mm at the rear.
