Ford Focus RS gets power boost with Mountune upgrade

Not happy with ‘just’ 257kW from your Focus RS? This Mountune performance upgrade might just be your answer.

Co-developed by the race engine and road car performance specialist and Ford Performance, the upgrade boosts peak power from the Ford 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine by 21kW to 278kW and peak torque by 40Nm to 510Nm using overboost.

Thanks to the extra oomph, the all-wheel drive Mountune fettled Focus RS will demolish 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds.

The kit is consists of a high-performance air filter, bespoke alloy crossover duct with high-performance silicone hoses, an upgraded air re-circulation valve and revised software tuning for the engine ECU.

It can be fitted by any Mountune-appointed Ford dealer in 1.5 hours and is fully compatible with the car’s factory warranty.

Sadly, the kit is only limited to European and UK dealers at this stage, where is it priced from just £899.
