Ford bringing three hot Focus RS to SEMA

Parked alongside tricked out Ford F-150s and hotted up Mustangs at next month’s 2016 SEMA show will be three modified Focus RS from Ford Performance.

The Focus RS is already packing enormous punch from the factory, ripping up 257kW of power and 440Nm of torque from its specially tuned 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. But still, it’s fast becoming a tuners’ favourite.

Boasting 335kW (450hp) from an upgraded EFR twin-turbo set up, this super hatch has been tweaked by Velox Motorsports specially for the track. It features aerodynamic front and side splitters, lowered coilover suspension, uprated brakes and lightweight alloy wheels.

It’s finished in a bespoke BASF Stealth Grey and Fire Orange paint job for a properly aggressive look.

Next up is another track day special Focus RS from Roush Performance. It packs a colossal 372kW (500hp) thanks to an upgraded cooling system and a Ford Performance short block assembly calibrated by Roush Performance.

The added fire power is conveyed to the outside world through a front splitter, rear wing, a pair of bonnet heat extractors, new set of wheels and a custom grey exterior wrap with red and blue highlights.

Nose-to-Tail Racing Energy

The third Focus RS is a rally transformation and boasts a set of H&R custom RSS Performance coilover suspension to handle the tough terrain of rally racing. It wears racing livery by Stanceworks and comes complete with a front splitter, side skirt extensions, a rear diffuser and bonnet vents.
