BMW tuning specialist G-Power has finally got their hands on a BMW M2 after spending considerable time churning out power upgrade packages for the larger M4.

With 272kW and 465Nm from a 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six cylinder petrol engine, the M2 is already packing a heap of punch from factory. But that didn’t stop the German tuner from turning the whip up on the M2 even further with a power boost and handling upgrade package.

An optimised engine mapping lifts power output to 305kW (410hp) and boost torque to 570Nm. For those concerned about longevity and reliability, the tuner claims that the power upgrade will maintain all standard engine protection functions.

While the tuner made no mention of performance figures, expect the added power to trim 0 to 100km/h time down to around 4 seconds from the standard 4.3 seconds. Flat out with the speed limiter removed, the G-Power BMW M2 is claimed to crack 290km/h.

The extra punch is accompanied by renewed aural sensation thanks to a custom G-Power titanium sports exhaust system with quad 90mm carbon fibre exhaust tips. The new exhaust also brings a weight saving of 5.5kg compared to the factory item.

To keep handling in check, G-Power has equipped the M2 with a set of G2M-RS adjustable coilover suspension which can lower the car by up to 45mm at the front and 50mm at the rear. Finishing off the upgrade is a set of lightweight G-Power Hurricane RR forged 20-inch wheels.
