Hot on the heels of its launch, the BMW M2 gets the first aftermarket treatment from tuner Alpha-N Performance.

Dubbed the M2-RS performance upgrade package, the kit takes the M2’s 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine to new heights with an 81kW increase in power, bringing the total output to 353kW (480hp).

The power hike comes from a new engine tune and water injection cooling system. With the extra punch, the Alpha-N BMW M2 is expected to improve on the standard car’s 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.5 seconds. On request, Alpha-N can also remove the factory 250km/h speed limiter to unlock the M2’s full potential.

Coping with the boost in performance, Alpha-N has equipped the M2 with a set of Öhlins coilover sport suspension and lightweight 19-inch Superforgiata wheels wrapped in 245/35R19 front and 265/35/R19 rear tyres.

Making visual statement is a set of bodykit comprising a front lip spoiler and four-position adjustable rear wing, complemented by blacked-out accents on the front bumper and side skirts.
