AC Schnitzer pushes BMW M3 to 380kW

BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer has released a new tuning package for the BMW M3. The package, which is also compatible with the M4, consists of both aerodynamic and performance enhancement.

Subtle but effective upgrades to the front fascia of the M3 include a carbon fibre front splitter and side carnards for improved aerodynamic. At the rear, the M3 scores a carbon fibre rear wing, diffuser and roof spoiler. Rounding up the exterior changes are a set of lightweight AC Schnitzer wheels measuring 20-inch, carbon fibre wing mirror covers and AC Schnitzer decals.

Performance upgrades come in the form of a new sports exhaust system with flap control and engine tuning, lifting power output of the 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine from the standard 317kW / 550Nm to 380kW / 645Nm.

For a peace of mind, AC Schnitzer is providing a two-year warranty for the tweaked powerplant.

In the handling department, the M3 gets a set of adjustable coilover sports suspension for improved driving dynamics. The kit includes lowering springs that reduce the ride height by up to 40mm, eliminating the unsightly wheel gaps.
