ABT offers power upgrade packages for Volkswagen Passat

Volkswagen and Audi tuning specialist ABT has released power upgrade packages for the latest generation Volkswagen Passat.

The power boosts are available for all variants of petrol and diesel engines. The highly efficient 1.4-litre TFSI engine gains a hike in power from 110kW (150hp) to 132kW (180hp), accompanied by an increase in torque from 250 to 290Nm.

The 1.8-litre TFSI engine sees a boost from 132kW (180hp) to 154kW (210hp), while torque is up from 250Nm to 310Nm.

The most powerful 2.0-litre TDI turbodiesel now serves up 199kW (270hp), up from 176kW (240hp). Its maximum torque is now an incredible 540 Nm, a 40Nm increase over the standard car’s 500 Nm.

To make a statement on the road, ABT has fitted the Passat with a front lip spoiler, front grille add ons, side skirt extensions, custom mirror caps, rear spoiler and rear bumper skirt.

The ABT Passat wagon shown here also gains ABT lowering springs, reducing ride height by 35mm at the front and 30mm at the rear. Handling is further tightened with uprated ABT anti-roll bars and customised wheels ranging from 18- to 21-inch in size.
