The exclusive track-basher, BMW M4 GTS has reportedly been sold out. Only 700 units of this spectacular beast were made, so if you weren’t in when it was announced, you’re probably out of luck.

The BMW M4 GTS is one of the fastest Bimmers to date, with its twin-turbo straight six pumping out 368kW and 600Nm of torque, enough to take the GTS from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 305km/h. The stats are incredible, especially considering it can still achieve a fuel efficiency as low as 8.3L/100km.

The GTS is all about weight savings. In order for BMW to achieve the kerb weight of 1,510kg, engineers had to re-manufacture a significant portion of the car in carbon fiber. The rigorous weight savings extend to both the interior and exterior. Inside, the bucket seats is made from carbon-fibre, the console and rear seat paneling have also been given lightweight replacements and the door handles have been replaced with leather straps. The exterior also received carbon fibre treatment with the rear wing, diffuser and front lips all being shaved. BMW also fitted a titanium muffler, providing a 20% weight saving over stock.

The M4 GTS came with a price tag of US$134,200. Approximately 300 units have been allocated in the US market and only a handful to selected Australian dealers.
