It seems Volkswagen is taking its Design Vision GTI a step further with this striking Golf GTI Vision Gran Turismo. However, as you might have guessed from its name, unlike the Design Vision GTI, the outlandish Golf GTI Vision Gran Turismo only exists in the virtual world.

Yes, gamers will be able to drive the roadster in the latest Gran Turismo 6 racing simulator on Sony’s PlayStation.

The GTI Vision Gran Turismo shares most of the Design Vision GTI’s aggressive front fascia and widebody look. But instead of a fixed roof, the former comes with a roofless speedster bodystyle, enormous wheels and a massive fixed rear wing.

While the Design Vision GTI gets a mid-mounted, twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 developing 370kW of power and 560Nm of torque, the Vision GT develops a colossal 404kW of power. This would easily enable it to eclipse the Design Vision’s 0-100km/h sprint of 3.9 seconds, as well as its 299km/h top speed.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Vision Gran Turismo is available for download from today.
