With the production model nearing its debut, Mercedes-Benz has released a new teaser video that previews the 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA. As reported previously, the GLA is a small SUV built on the Mercedes A-Class MFA platform.
It also shares some of the hatchback’s styling cues, especially in the front fascia and interior. When it goes on sale later this year, it will compete with the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 in the premium small SUV segment, with pricing likely to be even more competitive than its German rivals. The GLA’s engine line up will also closely mirror that of the A-Class, with a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. A hotted up AMG version is also reportedly in the works.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA is set to make its premier at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
