The Lexus LF-CC Super GT racer was unwrapped a couple of months ago. It will compete in the 2014 Super GT season. Now, the racer has been filmed on track.
The race car is based on the Lexus LF-CC concept that made its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. It replaces the SC430-based race car and will compete against the Nissan GT-R and the Honda NSX Concept-GT.
Little is known about the racer, except that it is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder direct-injected engine (dubbed NRE) that is capable of putting out approximately 410kW (550hp) of power and 700Nm of torque.
There’s also the usual aerodynamic exterior, including a ventilated bonnet, extended wheel arches and GT wing.
