Twin Turbo Lexus RC FS envisioned

Word on the street is that Lexus is mulling around with a hardcore version of the RC F sports coupe with two turbochargers strapped onto the standard car’s 5.0-litre V8, as we reported last week.

The twin-turbo Lexus RC F won’t see the light of day until 2017, but thanks to the world of computer rendering, automotive artist Wild Speed has given us a glimpse of the twin-turbo RC F. Merging elements of the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition with the standard RC F results in one tough looking hardcore RC F, with no shortage of carbon fibre aero bits.

The high performance RC F is said to be getting a new badge called “RC FS”, with “FS” becoming Lexus’ answer to Mercedes AMG’s Black Series and Audi’s RS Plus. While the standard 5.0-litre V8 in the RC F Coupé punches out over 330kW (450hp) of power and 520Nm of torque, the boosted version is said to bring over 600 horsepower (448 kW) to the table.

The Lexus RC FS is expected to get a sticker price of $120,000 when it launches in the US.
