TRD unveils Lexus RC F Sport Aero Kit

Toyota in-house tuning arm TRD has released a new aero kit for the Lexus RC F Sport.

Available exclusively for the Japanese Domestic Market for now, the package consists of a front underspoiler, side skirts, carbon fibre boot lid spoiler and rear diffuser with integrated quad exhaust setup.

Completing the looks is a set of multi-spoke 19-inch lightweight forged aluminium wheels.

Subtle yet effective, the aero kit adds a touch of aggressiveness to the elegant sports coupe. There are no words when the package will be available outside Japan but owners can place order through TRD Japan.

Under the bonnet of the RC 350 is a 234kW/380Nm 3.5-liter V6 teamed to an eight-speed Sports Program Direct Shift (SPDS) transmission driving the rear wheels. The RC 300h hybrid variant – the first Lexus hybrid coupe – uses a dual-injected 2.5-liter four cylinder engine with an electric motor driven through an electronic continuously variable transmission (CVT). Total system power is rated at 162 kW, accompanied by 221 Nm  of torque.

The Lexus RC coupe is due to arrive in Australia in the first half of 2015.
